A BRIEF REST - August 24, 2010
Our summer season is over - whew! Thanks to all of you for helping to make it a great success! We have had a great time performing all around the area including Albuquerque, Los Ranchos, Edgewood, and as far away as Weed, NM! After a brief hiatus we will have 8 gigs over a short span of 6 weeks in such faraway places as Corrales, Rio Rancho, and Santa Fe. Then we’ll finish up the season where we started – at Solid Grounds! Most of these performances are free! Great incentive to come out and see us again. Hey fans, this Friday evening we will be performing on the Gazebo at Old Town Plaza! This will be our third time playing there and it is always lots of fun, plus it’s FREE!!! We will have CD's available for purchase, but if you can't make it to the show, they are also available at Apple Mountain Music, the BioPark Gift Shop, or on-line at CD Baby. This will be our last performance this summer, so we hope you will take advantage and come out to enjoy some great music and entertainment! After this show we’ll take about a month off, unless something comes up between now and our next gig at the Corrales Harvest Festival in September. See you soon!
More Bluegrass - July 23, 2010
We had absolutely the greatest time at the festival in Weed! The folks there were all super-nice, the music was awesome, and the weather was great! The audience really appreciated our traditional but unique sound. We're definitely hoping to play again next year. We had fun jamming with some folks especially Steve and the gang from Coyote Crossing, and Blue Sky Country from the Artesia/Roswell area.Next up is the annual festival at Wildlife West in Edgewood. Three days of music with two stages going all day Saturday, workshops, jams, and food! Lots of fun - hope to see you there!

Weed Bluegrass Festival - July 8, 2010
We’ll be at Heritage Farm at the Albuquerque BioPark this Saturday from 11:00 – 1:00 and next week we’ll be heading to Southern New Mexico for the 15th annual Weed Bluegrass Festival. We’ll have two shows on Saturday, July 17th - one in the afternoon and then we'll close the evening show. We’ll be joined by two other local bands, Coyote Crossing and Duke City Swampcoolers, along with three other NM bands and one from Texas. There’s going to be lots of great music, and we’re looking forward to having a great time performing, jamming, and just meeting people! Hope you can make it!
Also, beginning this Saturday our new CD, Down by the River, will be available for purchase at the BioPark gift shop.
Albuquerque Folk Festival - June 18, 2010
Well folks, tomorrow is a big day for the Muddy River String Band! We will be performing on the Second Stage at the Albuquerque Folk Festival from 11:00 am to 11:45 am. We're really excited about debuting some new material and playing some of our favorites from our latest album Down by the River.
Admission for Saturday is just $20 for adults and $5 for children. This is the best entertainment bang for your buck! Come on out and participate in this wonderful event.
