Bands
Friends Forever
- Our very good friends!Friends Forever is the husband and wife duo of
Michael and Donna Coy. They play and sing Folk tunes and songs from various
traditions such as Celtic, Gospel, Old-Time, Bluegrass, Cowboy and Traditional
Southwestern, as well as originals, focusing on vocal harmonies and accompanying
themselves on guitar, fiddle, mandolin, citurn, and bodhran (Irish drum).
The Next Chapter
- Over the years, audiences everywhere have grown
to savor the combination of fiery Celtic reels, hot bluegrass
instrumentals and traditional American fiddle tunes coming from the
flying fingers of the Page family. Weaving a combination of the old
time favorites with their cutting edge originals – mile a
minute numbers that leave you gasping for air to soulful ballads that
will bring a tear to your eye - anyone who attends a Next Chapter
concert leaves knowing they have truly experienced something different.
Award winning vocals are punctuated by lightning speed leads on
hammered dulcimer, banjo, mandolin and bouzouki; and the driving
rhythms of bass, bodhran and guitar pull it all together for each
breath-taking set. The Next Chapter's explosive and high-energy music
of today lays the foundation for the acoustic music of tomorrow.
Ten Cats Laughing - Americana and rootsy to the core, Ten Cats
Laughing sings original tunes and does other music forays into the
cosmic twists, turns, tricks, and jokes inflicted on the folks who live
in their songs. Ten Cats Laughing is Guy and Lisa. Guy is the guitar,
mandolin and harmonica player while Lisa plays banjo and guitar.
Coyote Crossing
presents traditional bluegrass, gospel, and original acoustic music. Each of
the band members are dedicated aficionados of bluegrass, and they have all
played with numerous bands in the past. While their performances emphasize vocal
harmonies, they back it up with powerful yet tasteful instrumental work – all
guaranteed to get your foot tapping.
Placitas Mountain Band
has played at many gigs and occasions over the years,
including a standing monthly gig at a local restaurant, and in many festivals
and programs in the Albuquerque and Santa Fe areas. PMB plays a combination of
